Would you rather?

So this was the first time that I’ve been tagged in one of these posts and I’m super excited and thankful to be included by todaycommai! So here goes!

1. Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I’d sooner lose my palettes and eyeshaddows, I don’t go ANYWHERE without mascara!

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Never ever ever cut it again, I’m growing it anyway and I’m pretty sure it isn’t going to grow much further!

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Definitely pink, I like my cheeks to be rosy.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Clothes, couldn’t justify spending that much on makeup in one go, besides if I had money for clothes I’d then be able to afford more makeup myself anyway!

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

Er.. hmm.. lipstick as eyeliner could get messy so I’m going eyeliner as lipstick, embrace the gothic look..

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

I don’t have Sephora where I live and I’m a huge MAC fan so it’s MAC all the way!

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One lip colour, I nearly always wear red or none anyway!

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in winter?

Neither! I literally despise being too hot or too cold, however, I get incredibly miserable when I’m cold and wet so I’m going to say I’d rather wear winter clothes in summer.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright, I don’t do dark too often these days anyway!

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Favourite lip product, giving up my fave eye product would mean giving up Benefit They’re real and that is NOT happening any time soon!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

Pony tail – My son oddly likes my hair in a pony tail, maybe because it has ‘pony’ in the name.. who knows

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?

Paint my nails, I’m rubbish at it anyway!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?

Sharpie them?! Haha I’d stencil them in. No sharpie is going near my brows.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nailpolish?

Nail polish

MAC Cosmetics Powder Blush in Mocha – Product Review

I love blusher. I’m very pale and without blusher I just look plain ill. I have everything from Benefit and MAC to Rimmel and Maybelline but this is one of my favourites. It’s right up there with Benefit’s Coralista blush.

I always apply my blush from the rose of my cheeks right up to the temple to give my face definition and a super healthy glow. I added some of Benefit’s High Beam to this when I used it too and it looks lovely.

When I first put this onto my blusher brush it didn’t seem very powdery and I was skeptical about how good it would look. Turns out I was worrying needlessly as a little bit goes along way and it looks awesome!

It also lasted really well throughout the day at work which is fantastic news and the colour was perfect, it is called Mocha but it isn’t a brown, it’s more of a rosy red which I love!

What I love:  That it goes a long way.. Economical!

The Girls who dared to bare- The Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Challenge

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

Tilda Megan Sarah Tams

I am so overwhelmed by the support I have had today in going bare-faced in public! When I wrote my challenge post yesterday lunch time I never thought it would get the response that it did and I am so thankful to each and every girl who stood with me today make up free.

It was a really hard experience for myself as I definitely hide behind make up every single day. I know most of the girls pictured here show great courage in not only ditching their mask for a day but going out in public like it.

The girls have been everywhere from work to sports day, from Tesco to lunches without a single item of make-up applied to their person. This is not a big deal to a lot of you but to us who have lower than average self-esteem it was a giant step and I am so proud of every single one of them.

Girls you made it so much easier for me to do tis challenge by doing it too and I thank you for putting your own insecurities aside to help me and taking the time to send me your photos too! Each and every one of you is beautiful and exactly the way good intended you to be and I hope that each of you have felt as liberated as I have in walking out in today’s glorious sunshine as yourself and not as the person you draw on yourself every morning.

Tiff Rosie Debbie Chloe

This challenge was inspired by one of my favourite scriptures Psalm 139:14 that tells us God made us fearfully and wonderfully. That is something that I am trying believe and today has been a huge step forward. Nothing bad happened for being myself. I found myself sat in Costa Coffee after sports day this morning feeling quite emotional at just how true this scripture is. Who are we to judge how we look or anyone else looks? God made us perfect for our purpose and we are wonderful!

I’ already feel so much better about myself for taking this step forward and I am planning to run the challenge again next year just to remind ourselves regularly that we are beautiful. No matter what anyone says about us now, in the future or in the past, the truth is God says we are gorgeous!

In the order they appear from left to right the girls pictured are:
Top row: Matilda, Megan, Sarah and Me
Second row: Tiffany, Rosie, Debbie and Chloe
Girls it’s not too late to send images in! Get them over to tams.watt@hotmail.com and I’ll add them below!
