Anatomicals – Spray Misty for Me Facial Spritz Review

1Reviewed by Tams

My UK heatwave 2013 life-saver!

This is the best thing to have landed on my doorstep this month, it arrived on Monday and that couldn’t have been better timing.

This facial spritz carries the normal Anatomicals quirky name which is one of the things I love most about this brand. It contains peppermint, rose, lavender, aloe and witch hazel, all of which combined give your face a welcome refresh, calm and moisture. This current heat is creating havoc with my skin and melting my make up off. I love that this product not only sets my makeup but cools me down at intervals during the day too.

My skin instantly feels refreshed with a couple of spritz of this wonderful product, when my skin is starting to give up on me this brings it back from the brink. It’s also been amazing at holding my makeup in place for longer.

This is my must-have summer item for holidays, flights, festivals and in hot offices. If anything makes this heat more bearable it’s Spray Misty for Me.

Just Keep Scrubbing, Just Keep Scrubbing – Olay Essentials Smoothing Face Scrub Review

Already on number 2!

As I bought my second tube of Olay Essentials Smoothing Face Scrub I realised I clearly love it.. a lot! I haven’t yet blogged about this one but at the moment it is a clear favourite of mine! It smells refreshingly clean and has lovely large particles.

The formula foams so well and after each use leaves a clear improvement. The large particles leave you with a satisfying scrubbed face and radiant natural glow! It also removes what’s left of my makeup without a problem.

My skin is less dry, less spotty and clearer after using this for a while. I also use other Olay Essentials items in my skin regime and they’ve never let me down. They are always well-priced and quality items. They also last a while as you do not need much each time!

What I love most: It is so effective at doing what it does!

What I like least: Nothing, I wouldn’t have gone back to it again if there was!

Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion, Sun-kissed look for light skin product review

I know it’s been pretty glorious the last few days but that’s rare in the UK, so I decided to try a build-up tan moisturiser. Tanning lotion always  goes streaky on me and I have pale skin that only burns in the sun so I gathered this may be a way forward!

I loved the smell when I first put it on but a couple of hours later it just smelt like the normal biscuity self-tan smell which was a bit disappointing. However within a couple of days I did start to notice a different in my skin colour which I was very pleased with. My legs took a lot longer to catch up with the rest of me so I started doing those twice a day, they now have some colour but it is a bit patchy despite my best efforts to take care to get it even.

However, my arms and upper body look wonderfully sun-kissed without being tangoed!

My skin feels beautifully soft too. I give this a product 3/5, I’m pretty sure there is something better out there so onto the next one!

What I loved most: The colour was natural.

What I liked least: Patchy legs!

Festival nails! Go neon!

Donna

With Glastonbury going on Donna and I are starting to get excited for V Fest in around 6 weeks and we’re turning our attention to all things fashion and beauty when at a festival.Donna2

I got this Barry M Special Edition Nail paint free yesterday and it isn’t my colour so I handed it over to my favourite neon-loving friend, Donna. The colour is bright and summery and perfect to stand out at a festival. Donna absolutely loves the colour and will probably need to re-purchase before we get anywhere near V!

Donna found it really easy to apply and the results are awesome. This is a limited edition summer nail paint so if you love it, probably best to stock up now. I absolutely love the on-trend Aztec pattern on the bottle too.

The shade is Vernis a Onlges and having seen it on Donna’s nails I can admit I may be changing my mind about the colour.. sexy, summery and makes a statement.

What Donna loves most: The vibrant colour.

I say: Team it with a bright eyeshadow for the real wow-factor in the festival crowds.

In the Summertime When the Weather is Fine….

2Reviewed by Tams

With the sun finally shining in Essex I had a hankering for gorgeous summer nails, I took a trip to Superdrug and among other things (Shh don’t tell my husband) I came back with these!

I choose a bright summer colour that is very on trend right now, I also thought I’d finally have a go at Gelly nail polish. I always love the colours Barry M 3provide and it was sooo hard to choose today but I went for Greenberry Gelly High Shine Nail paint, I also picked up the All in One Basecoat, Topcoat and Hardener.

I have really brittle nails so it was great to have an all-in-one that contains hardener. I painted on this as a basecoat first and it dried really quickly. I then popped on the nail paint which was really easy to use, even a novice like me got a great result!

The colour is definitely as beautiful on as it is in the bottom and there was no need to use the all-in-one as a topcoat as it is so shiny all on its own. I was a bit worried when I first put it on as it looked a bit of a mess but as soon as it dried it looked way better than I expected, it also only took one coat. The only thing that I found was a problem is the brush size, it is very small and I prefer a brush that covers the whole nail in my sweep.

I’m hoping that this nail paint will last a good few days, it seems pretty good so I am hopeful. Looking forward to showing off these gorgeous summertime nail tonight.

What I love most: The colour and oooo it’s shiny..

What I liked least: The brush size

The Body Shop – All-in-One BB Cream Review

BodyShopbbcreamReviewed by Tams

A summer essential that exceeds expectations

There’s nothing worse than the feeling of suffocating your skin with foundation in the humid english weather other the summer months. That’s why I love The Body Shop All-in-One BB Cream, it’s light on the skin but still looks beautiful.

The Body Shop BB cream comes in just 3 shades but fret not.. those 3 shades will cover every skin colour as it adapts to your skin tone. It comes out white and within a few seconds of being applied to your skin it has adopted your own colour. I love that it gives you a natural looking glow, perfect for long summer days.

The thing I always love most about The Body Shop is their hydration qualities and the BB Cream is not an exception, once again it provides 24-hour hydration leaving beautiful soft skin whilst giving you enough coverage to feel confident!

The only thing I’d like to see improved on this product is the addition of an SPF, even so I love this product and recommend it for warm does as it sticks around when thing’s hot up!

What I love: 24-hour hydration while wearing make-up.. almost unheard off!

What I like least: That it doesn’t have an SPF.

Organic Surge – Super-Intensive Moisturiser Review

If like me you suffer from dry skin this little gem is worth a try!

This moisturiser is perfect for skin that needs a hydration injection, we’ve just got out of the winter and so-called-spring leaving us with drier than usual skin and this little beauty is just the trick to get your skin looking its best, fast.

For an intensive moisturiser this one feels great, it doesn’t leave the skin oily or sticky and its completely natural ingredients leave the skin feeling, soft, nourished and hydrated. You can tell it is not made with anything synthetic as it has a very earthy scent, which I love!

I have been using this daily for the last week and my skin has already regained its usual brightness and softness, I also didn’t get any spots like I do with many moisturisers. You don’t need to use a lot of this one, a little dab rubbed in well is all that’s required for gorgeous skin ready for summer!

This is one I will continue to use and I highly recommend it to anyone who gets dry patches, especially those with sensitive skin. It is also inexpensive so worth every penny.

What I love: That it ‘s organic and works a treat!

What I liked least: Nothing.
