New followers..

Please don’t follow in the site. We’ve moved to If you were already a follower before 11pm on 10th September 2013 you will still get my posts as you have been moved over. Otherwise, you will not unless you subscribe on the new blog via email or bloglovin’ or add my URL to your reader. Thank you

A little help from those who have moved to please!

HI All,

So I’ve just moved to though I’m posting on my one now. I have a request in at .com for now to move my current subscribers over but I have a few questions so if anyone has made the move and can help I’d be most grateful!

  1. How long does it take them to move my followers?
  2. Can I still be found on the reader when I post on my self hosted site?
  3. Can new readers follow me in the same manner they do now or do they have to sign up by email?(Instead of clicking one button) If so how have you overcome this and what effect has it had on your follower growth?
  4. Will I be better off forgetting and just staying here? I moved so that I can turn it into a business eventually (hopefully) which I can’t do here.

I’d be so grateful for some advice from those who have made the move! Thank you in advance!

The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit Review

There seems to be a shortage of affordable eyebrow kits right now. Every time I saw one online to order it seemed to be out of stock. The MUA one has had brilliant write ups but is consistently not available. That’s when I came across The Body Shop’s one. This item is solely responsible for my recent TBS haul. If I was already ordering it I may as well make the most of it and order enough to get free shipping.

Prominent, bold and thicker eyebrows have been slowly making a comeback over the summer and are set to big for Autumn. Good eyebrows can change a whole look, make statement and frame your face. Eyebrows were never meant to be thin lines barely there.  If like most of us you followed the over plucked look in the last few years chances are your brows don’t have what it takes to meet this seasons trend. That’s where a good eyebrow kit comes in.

I usually use Brow Zings by Benefit but it’s pretty pricey for what it is and I’ve run out so I decided to find an affordable option and I’m thrilled with this little treasure.

Firstly, the packaging is lovely, if a pain in the butt to photograph, it looks glamourous and there is plenty of product included and a handy mirror and double ended brush. It also comes in a range of different shades so there really is one for everyone.

It’s really easy to use, you can use either end of the brush depending on what works best for you, largely this is decided by the size of your eyebrows and what size you want them to be. I think the smaller brush is meant to be used as the eyeliner but I find that brush easier to use when doing my eyebrows. You use the lighter shade in the middle and then the darker to create the arch and fill in the eyebrow.

1This product works really well, it’s so versatile that you can create the perfect brow look for you, day or night. It also lasts really well. It’s a really thick powder, it tames the brows in a flash and maintains them throughout the day.

The darker colour can also be used to set eyeliner or even as an eyeliner which is an added bonus.

At just £10 it is a total bargain and The Body Shop often have offers on anyway so you can get it even cheaper.

What brow kit do you use?

MUA (Makeup Academy) Lipstick in Red Shade 1 Review

2I go through so much red lipstick it’s unreal. I cherish red lipstick above all other colours, I love that it is striking and beautiful. It makes a statement and that suits me just fine.

I am loving MUA at the moment, for the bargain basement price the quality is outstanding. I recently discovered their lipsticks and I plan on purchasing the whole collection now, at £1 a pop you really can’t go wrong.

They all also have a handy little pot attached to the base of the lipstick containing the same colour ready to be used with a brush. Perfect for when you want to show the colour off on a friend hygienically.

Now onto this colour, I have tried A LOT of red lipsticks and they just don’t stick around that well. My biggest problem is they aren’t kiss proof and both my son and husband get annoyed with red smudges across their face. I only had to reapply this once in a whole day and I only half bother with the Lipcote sealant that I use too. For me this is incredible.

1It is a sexy shade, not too bright, it’s a deep red that looked fantastic with my current red hair. It has a wonderful sheen to it that looks elegant. I originally just bought this for day use but it would be incredibly suitable for night time too.

If you haven’t already tried MUA I recommend getting your butt to Superdrug pronto!

My Smelly Products Tag

Leanne Talks Beauty  tagged me in her My Smelly Products Tag last week and I thought it’d be fun to do, so here are my favourite smelling products.

Fudge Urban Seasalt spray – This smells wonderful, it actually smells like Malibu and when my hair catches the wind and I get a fresh whiff of it I’m transported back to holidays.

Soap & Glory  IFoam Body Wash – This smells like peaches and cream, it’s delicious, I actually just want to eat it but it probably doesn’t taste so good! It also washed really well and the scent does stick around for a good while after.

Original Source  Raspberry and Vanilla Milk – This is probably my favourite, it smells incredibly, do you remember those Campino sweets that smelt amazing? This smells like that only better because it’s raspberry not strawberry.

Avon  Rivera Goddess Body Spritz – I Love this budget scent, it lasts ages and smells really summery.

Ghost Perfume – This is my husbands favourite perfume of mine, it has an elegant floral scent and it now holds plenty of memories for me.

Superdrug Hand & Nail Cream – My colleagues love when I start dishing this out, it smells sweet and beautiful, it’s also actually a pretty good hand and nail cream.

The Body Shop Mango Body Butter – This has got to be another of my top ones, I love fruity smells as you’ve probably gathered by now, this one is sweet and definitely smells like mango!

L’Occitane Hydration Cream – This smells quite natural and earthy, it’s quite subtle actually but both my husband and I adore the smell.

I tag:

I enjoyed doing this one, hope you guys do too!

MUA (Makeup Academy) Lipstick in Shade 14 ‘Bare’ Review

1Reviewed by Tams

I love MUA products right now, for the very low price they are amazing quality. I’ve been wanting a nude lipstick for a while now, it’s a trend I’m loving but I wasn’t sure it’d suit me as I’m so pale. Rather than splash out on an expensive one I decided to give the MUA one a go to see if it suited.

I love the packaging of this lipstick, it’s sleek and stylish. It also has a handy little pot of the lipstick at the base of the lipstick that can be used with a lipstick brush. The colour comes out really well and it lasts well for a light coloured lipstick. It doesn’t dry my lips out and it easily gives the effect of a more expensive version.

In this photo I was in a rush so didn’t even bother with lip liner and under those circumstances it still came out quite nicely I feel. I do also love the shade, it is a beautiful shade that looks barely there and it is bang on trend. Think this may be my new favourite everyday lipstick. I’m also definitely going to try some more. I already have it in Shade 1 awaiting trial so I’ll let you know what that one is like soon!

Try it: £1.. yup that’s right, less than a bottle of 7up!
